I am partnered with the Resilient: Whitman County Task Force to provide suicide prevention trainings and community support. I provide MHFA and QPR trainings through the task force network. I am also part of the Community Response Team (CRT) which is a crisis response team offering support post-crisis. We are also dispatched as requested by those in a mental health crisis through law enforcement, fire, and EMS. If you want more information please visit the Task Force Website: https://resilientwhitman.org/
RCS is partnering with Whitman County Public Health to provide suicide and substance use prevention education, health promotion, and long-term sustainable program development. We are working on a new Whitman County Suicide Prevention Action Plan and Handbook. The mission is to reduce suicide and the impact on individuals, families, and rural communities by promoting mental wellness, increasing access to care, and fostering a culture of hope through connection and resilience. We aim to achieve this by emphasizing prevention, intervention, and postvention efforts. If you would like to schedule a training for your community or see what trainings are currently available, please follow this link: https://whitmancountypublichealth.org/community-health/connected-for-change.
